A Night to Make It Right


On March 10 at Hyatt Regency New Orleans, Brad Pitt and Ellen DeGeneres will host “A Night to Make It Right” with special guests Randy Jackson and performances by Rihanna, Sheryl Crow, the Neville Brothers, Seal and local favorite Dr. John and friends. The benefit gala will raise vital funds for the completion of 150 environmentally friendly homes. A Night To Make It Right will attract political leaders, philanthropists, artists and entertainers, including Mayor Mitch Landrieu and host committee members Blake Lively, Chris Paul, Sean Penn and many others. New Orleans favorite John Besh is leading a team of celebrity chefs including Emeril Lagasse and Giada De Laurentiis to craft a dinner celebrating the finest culinary traditions of New Orleans and beyond. New Orleans International Beer Festival


Top of the Hops beer festival has moved from the North Shore to Champions Square and be renamed the New Orleans International Beer Festival presented by Abita. The festival features more than 150 international and craft beers, which are poured in two ounce samples. Again this year, Sam Adams hosts a “Brew University Education Area” with classes on home brewing, cooking with beer and pairing beer with food. New Orleans’ own NOLA Brewing Co. will also sponsor the Cask Beer Garden, which will serve unfiltered, limited edition beers.

NOLA Pyrate Week 2012 sails into New Orleans March 23 – April 1 for a gathering o’ Buccaneers, Corsairs, Privateers, Wenches, Doxies, Navvies, Land Lubbers, Musicians, Artisans…and anyone else in search o’ good food, good drink and good mates to share it with! We will be raising funds for wetlands restoration in South Louisiana and delivering it in person during the week…we also hope to be actively involved in some restoration efforts in Terrebonne Parish - at the very least, we will be journeying down to visit our mate Captain Wendy and her crew!

The Brees Dream Foundation is focused on advancing research in the fight against cancer, and providing care, education and opportunities for children.
