For my last blog of 2011 I was going to do the usual year end-'DoucheBags, Deaths, Weddings'. Instead I'll just roll thru those quickly-
Weddings- MINE! ok, maybe you don't care I got married for first time in June 2011...I guess the bigger wedding would be Prince William and Kate
Deaths- Elizabeth Taylor, Clarence Clemons, Amy Winehouse, Andy Rooney, Steve Jobs....
Really Good Deaths- Osama, Ghaddafy, Kim Jong-IL
Legalities- Casey Anthony found not guilty, Amanda Knox released, Edwin Edwards released, Lil Wayne released
Sports- Reggie Bush (who?) leaves the Saints, Chris Paul leaves the Hornets, NFL and NBA lockouts, Penn State Scandle
Douchebags- Jessie James, Ashton Kutcher, Charlie Sheen, Arnold Shwaztenagger, Anthoney Weiner and ALL men who cheated on thier beautiful wives!
Babys- The Duggars, OctoFREAKmom
Reality TV- ALL the GOP debates!
Wacky Weather- everywhere...earthquakes, mudslides, tornados, forrest fires, floods....strangly no bad hurricanes?? All bad! pray for victims. Mother Nature is pissed at us.
Heros- Steve Gleason, Gabby Giffords, THE BAYOU WORKFORCE, United States Military
Not Sure What to Say About- The Occupiers. Take a shower is all I got.
And that brings us to an Angel. A young boy taken too soon. Most of you reading this do not even know who he is. His name is Ben Breedlove. He died on Christmas night.
A Texas teenager, who cheated death three times despite a dangerous heart condition died on Christmas night from a heart attack, but not before posting a two-part video on YouTube telling his story and describing a series of powerful visions.
I don't know about you, but I for sure have a calm about me knowing this Angel is in heaven for all of us. And I hope his inspiration sprinkles down on all of us for 2012.
Get the tissues....if you do not shed a tear after watching this video you are a heartless prick-
Kat talks to former Saints player & current NFL Network analyst Heath Evans about his foundation, charity work, college football, and how you can get into the big college game while helping out a good cause. For more info on the Heath Evans Foundation, visit - heathevans.org
